Joiner – Cabinetmaker
Build and assemble joinery across kitchens, wardrobes, stairs, vanities, and timberwork for a stable, NZ-owned company with room to grow
Join a well-established South Island joinery business that continues to grow. You’ll be part of a friendly team of 16 joiners, taking ownership of your jobs to build and assemble joinery across kitchens, wardrobes, stairs, vanities, and timberwork. Enjoy a great team culture and banter.
Work in a well-equipped and stocked factory and receive cut joinery components ready to transform into amazing joinery. Each job is different so you’ll read drawings, follow detailed plans, resolve problems, connect hardware, to ready your jobs for dispatch. You’ll also use a variety of woodworking machines when needed across different job types.
Based in Hornby, you’ll work Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4pm (minimum 40 hrs per week) with time and a half paid after 45 hours.
Pay is $30-33 per hour based on experience.
A skilled joiner, you’ll bring:
- A trade qualification in Joinery, Furniture Making or similar
- A quality focus to deliver high-end work and an efficient approach
- Great communication; you’re positive and team-oriented to contribute to a social and happy workplace
- Good saw skills and a safe way of working
- CNC or install experience is a bonus, simply to understand the entire process
