As Cost and Management Accountant, you’ll turn complex engineering manufacturing activity into costing integrity, margin visibility, and operational insight that supports performance, commercial discipline, and decision-making. Enjoy the complexity of bespoke manufacturing projects. You’ll report to the Group Finance Controller, and work alongside a Senior Company Accountant, as one of two senior finance professionals responsible for the NZ operation.

Day-to-day you’ll work alongside production and operations, providing standard costing, job costing, WIP, and inventory analysis. You’ll stay close to work as it moves through the factory, tracking cost behaviour and margin drivers, ensuring bespoke projects are correctly structured and all activity accurately captured within the ERP system.

Confident and commercially minded, you bring:

• Solid experience in management or cost accounting, within engineering manufacturing or another technically complex manufacturing environment

• Substantial experience with ERP systems and cost-driven environments

• Comfort operating close to the business, proven at building trust with operational teams and explaining financial impacts in plain language

• High attention to detail, combined with the confidence to question and improve processes

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; ideally, you’re working towards CIMA or CPA

Based in Avondale you’ll work within an office team of 12 and a greater team of 50 and have a supportive manager.

The role is permanent, full-time (42.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) and will pay between $100,000-$110,000 per annum.
